A Little About Me
After earning my Bachelor's Degree in elementary and special education at Michigan State University, I moved to California to start my teaching career. I taught kindergarten, first and fourth grades in Duarte while earning my Master's Degree at Cal Poly Pomona. I then started my family and took some time off to raise my daughter, Stephanie and my son, Tim. Stephanie graduated from Smith College and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Suffolk University in Boston. She is currently a professor at Williams College in Massachusetts. Tim graduated from Columbia University in NYC. He then earned his credential and is teaching high school English in Orange. I started my Brea career at Mariposa Elementary, then moved to Laurel and Arovista. This is my 31st year of teaching and my 17th year at Brea Junior High. I think I've found my niche! I really enjoy the students and staff here and am currently the coordinator of the amazing Washington D.C. trip, led by EF Explore America and meetings hosted by Brea Junior High's PTA. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, boating, and traveling with my husband, Kevin.
