National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a national organization that recognizes outstanding middle grade students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor our students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. Here at BJH, 7th graders are invited to apply for NJHS based on the following criteria: Students must have a 3.75 grade point average (GPA) for the first three quarters (which includes 1st Quarter, 2nd Quarter, and 3rd Quarter GPA) of 7th grade and have no N's or U's in citizenship, and no suspensions. Once invited to apply for membership, interested students must complete an application and interview process.  Selected students will be notified and inducted during the fourth quarter of 7th grade year, when they will begin to work with the 8th grade members.  As 8th graders, the inducted members must maintain their good citizenship and GPA of 3.75 or higher, or NJHS active membership will be terminated.
