All About Mrs. Dauphin...Your First Class Tour Guide

          I am so excited to begin my eleventh year of teaching 7th Grade World History here at Brea Junior High and my first year teaching Financial Literacy!   This year I plan to incorporate much of what I have learned and experienced over the last 23 years of teaching middle school and junior high students. 

          My career began in Northern California teaching sixth grade English, reading, and social studies.  For four years, my role as a sixth-grade teacher was not only to ensure that my students learned, but to also assist in their transition from elementary into middle school.  Seventeen years ago, my family and I moved to Orange County, and I joined the BJH family as an eighth-grade language arts teacher.  I strived to prepare my students for the rigors of high school and to instill in them a love for reading and writing.  As a history teacher, my goal is for my students to achieve academic success now and in the future by acquiring a life-long passion for learning.  I hope to show students the excitement of being active readers, writers, listeners, speakers, and critical thinkers as we explore the world and how the past has helped shape who we are today.

                In addition to teaching, I’m the proud mom of John, Jr. (20), Julianna (18), Genevieve (12), & Jackson (10).  My husband John and I both enjoy cheering for John, Julianna, Genevieve & Jackson on the soccer fields every weekend-Go Wentworth Leopards, Slammers FC, and Strikers!!!
