On June 2, 2026, Brea Junior High School proudly celebrated the promotion of the Class of 2026 in a memorable ceremony filled with recognition, reflection, and excitement for the future.

Families, friends, staff, district leaders, and Board of Education members gathered to honor a remarkable group of students who have left a lasting impact on our campus. Throughout the ceremony, students were recognized for their academic achievement, leadership, service, citizenship, and involvement in school programs and activities.

The event featured performances by our talented Show Choir Express and Concert Band, inspiring speeches from student leaders, and special recognition of students who exemplify the values of Brea Junior High. From Student Government and Academic Pentathlon to AVID, National Junior Honor Society, Perfect Attendance, and Presidential Academic Award recipients, the Class of 2026 demonstrated excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Among the evening's highlights was the recognition of 55 Scholars of the Year—students who maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout both years at Brea Junior High while demonstrating outstanding citizenship. In addition, 111 students earned the prestigious President’s Education Award for Excellence.

The ceremony also honored our 2026 Students of the Year, Mason Russo and Emmaline Elmore. Selected by staff members from an outstanding group of student leaders, both students embody the character, dedication, and spirit that define a Bobcat. Through their leadership, kindness, work ethic, and commitment to others, they have made a lasting impact on the Brea Junior High community.

The accomplishments of the Class of 2026 extend far beyond grades and awards. These students have grown into thoughtful leaders, resilient learners, talented performers, dedicated athletes, and compassionate friends. They have contributed to a school culture built on our Bobcat CLAWS values: Collaboration, Listening Actively, Aspiring for Excellence, Welcoming Differences, and Showing School Spirit.

The Brea Junior High staff is incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and grateful for the partnership and support of their families throughout their junior high journey. While their time at BJH has come to a close, their future is just beginning.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We wish you continued success as you begin the next chapter of your educational journey. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.
