Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures

Arrival/Departure Times

One of our most important concerns at BJH is the safety of our students. Every morning at 7:45 a.m., and every afternoon at 2:55 p.m., teachers and administrators are on duty to see that the campus in entered and exited safely.

School Board Policy states that students are not to arrive on campus more than thirty minutes before the start of the school day. (In our case, that would be 7:45 a.m.) However, we are prepared for students who need to be on campus at 7:30 a.m. for our breakfast program, tutoring or library use. Please do not drop off your student before 7:30 a.m.

It is expected that all students leave campus by 3:10 p.m. For students attending After School Assistance Program, tutoring, sports, or special events, it is expected that by 15 minutes after the event, students will have left campus to return home. Students who continually remain on campus for long periods of time after school or an organized school activity will be asked to leave, and parents will be contacted. We know that junior high students love to "hang out" and socialize, but without proper supervision beyond regular school activity hours, problems often occur. Once again, please support Brea Junior High Staff in providing a safe environment for your student.

Safety Alert for Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Drop-off and pick-up areas are provided in the main school driveway "Bobcat Circle" off Brea Boulevard for safe arrival and departure at Brea Junior High.

Please enter the driveway and move all the way forward along the curb in order to allow the maximum number of cars to drop-off and pick-up at the same time.

If your student needs to go to the office, please follow the drop-off procedures and drive all the way forward before stopping to let your student out.
