BJH Independent Study Program

BOUSD is offering Independent Study for grades 7 - 12 students as an alternative option to on-campus learning. Students will commit to this program for at least one (1) semester, and may participate for a full year. Once a student is enrolled in the Independent Study program, they are expected to work between 30-40 hours per week independently and to complete their assignments as scheduled. Additionally, the Independent Study student is expected to attend a prescribed daily check-in and a weekly appointment (scheduled Monday – Friday) via in person or via Zoom, to turn in their work, take competency tests and receive their assignments for the next week.
