hi my name is mrs. Then I'll be sharing some Google Slides about math 7/8 class okay welcome to back to school night video once again my name is mrs. Stone this is mass 780 celery to class kissing a branch junior high for 16 years and I love teach math every year is Chris covers the California common core grade 78 math standards and the topic covering this course include rational numbers algebraic expressions and equations and inequalities proportional reasoning percent geometry statistics probability exponents and scientific notation as linear relationships and equations as you can see recover a lot of materials in this class and this class is usually very busy this course is designed for 7 7th graders who are recommended sixth grade teachers for 1 to take Alice writing 8th grade student responsibilities are used it is meant to be on the class and have all the appropriate materials out and turn in all their completed assignments at the beginning of each class check-in print out any missing assignments as needed from Google Classroom Inc in case your are absent I highly encourage Australian to ask for help because I'm here to help you if they have any questions as far as the supplies goes she wants me to have a math folder in there it is to keep all their class notes activities homework assignments quizzes and tests so I think this will help them to answer the questions every visit while they do their homework along with when this study and prepare for the test and also she doesn't to bring some papers and one red pen from time to time regret first in his class with red pen and also multiple pencils all work will be done in pencils unless otherwise noted students need to bring a calculator it does not have to be anything fancy if any basic 5 function calculator is needed for this class and also this isn't spring textbook and their workbook working class for there will be graded on famous and effort basis students will receive two points if the Turning completed work with mostly correct answers and students will receive one point if they're turning completed work with just some crack answers and only time they will give zero when is is what is incomplete which means like less than half way done or did she just not turned in should I must show all their work using pencil unless otherwise noted and all US time they're turning on the Tuesday unless of funeral was absent absent students they can make up their homework and it will be accepted for full credit and I do accept late work for Chef credit end of each quarter there will be a quiz just about one to two weeks of every week and there will be either a test or a project at the end of each unit 25% of their grade come from a homework and classwork and then 75% of their grades come from tests quizzes and projects and all this will be updated on a daily basis no later than 4 p.m. on parents I strongly encourage parents to check parent portal on a regular basis this will be the best way to monitor students progress and if you need to contact me please email me based on a p o u s e that you ask and I'll try my best to reply within 24 hours thank you for watching back to school night video formats are May
